About Me

June 13, 2025

I figured it would be a good idea to tell you a little bit about myself here, just so we can get to know each other a little bit more. If you're currently viewing this site (which you are), then the chances that you know me personally already are pretty high. If not...

Who Am I?

My name's Jack, obviously, and at the time of writing this, I'm a fifth year computer science student at MacEwan University in Edmonton, Canada. Right now I'm working as a data analyst at AGLC (Alberta Gaming, Liquor, and Cannabis) in a summer student position. I'm having fun learning a bunch of the more practical, enterprise-level skills that I almost definitely wouldn't learn in school.

My Hobbies

In my free time, I enjoy playing retro video games (think GameBoy, SNES, etc.), watching movies, listening to music, and rock climbing. I also enjoy programming, obviously, and working on side projects is always way more fun and fulfilling than the programs we have to make in school. That is, if those side projects ever get finished! You can check the projects page on this site to see what I'm currently working on or the things I've already completed. I'll try to mark the projects with tags as best I can, and someday I'll implement a proper filter system on here so that you can sort them to view only school projects, only Rust projects... you know what filtering is.

Anyways, that's all for now! Please feel free to reach out for any reason, there are some handy links below if you choose to do so.
