I'm Jack, an aspiring Canadian software engineer who recently completed his computer science degree at MacEwan University. I love building things, especially software that's thoughtful, well-crafted, and pleasant to use. For me, writing code isn't just about doing the bare minimum to make it work; it's about making it feel right.
I spend a lot of my time building developer tools and systems-oriented software, often working close to the metal when it makes sense. Lately, that’s meant teaching myself languages like Rust while building a terminal UI framework called MinUI, or a Vim-like text editor called Redox. I don't think there's anything more satisfying than finding an issue and building your own software to fix it.
Outside of coding, you’ll usually find me rock climbing, playing video games (both retro and modern), watching movies, or listening to music across just about every genre.
